Electrical fire reported at a small apartment building on Elm Avenue near North 13th St. No smoke or flames seen.
The reporting party told dispatch they smelled a strong electrical odor, had turned the breakers off and opened windows and doors, but the smell persisted. Fire crews are on scene investigating.
Most engines are clearing off the call and returning to stations. An engine is remaining on scene to assist the resident with locating and isolating the electrical issue.
Update: Issue was a malfunctioning heating element in the dishwasher. The appliance was disabled and crews are clearing the scene.
