Grand Junction Fire Department responded to Confluence Hall at Elm Avenue and North 7th Street for the report of an electrical fire. Smoke was seen in the building but no active flames. The building was safely evacuated. Issue started in an electrical room during maintenance of an air conditioning unit. Fire crews are venting smoke from the building and have determined the issue was isolated to the air conditioning / HVAC unit.
No injuries were reported and there was no active fire.
