Grand Junction Police responded around 9:08 p.m. to a trespass in progress at the Walmart at 2881 North Avenue after store asset protection reported a male in the store. The man was described over the radio as a 35–50-year-old white male, thin-built, wearing a tan hat, camouflage jacket, blue jeans and red laced shoes, and was reportedly mumbling, intoxicated and grabbing bats and other items.
Officers reported the male was tased and taken into custody. EMS was dispatched as a routine response to evaluate the male suspect for injuries. No additional injuries, including police, were reported in the scanner traffic.
