A structure fire was reported around 8:37 a.m. at on Huffer Lane just south of Unaweep Avenue in Orchard Mesa. Fire crews, including Engine 4 and Truck 1, are on scene and report an electrical fire in the attic above the garage with smoke coming from vents. The resident and pets were evacuated and no flames were observed on arrival.
Fire crews located an active fire in the attic and were able to quickly extinguish it. No injuries were reported.
