A single-vehicle crash was reported shortly before 9:00 p.m. in the area of I Road and 26 Road. Fire, EMS and sheriff deputies responded with lights and sirens after a caller reported hearing a loud noise and locating a white pickup truck off the roadway.
The reporting party said they had to cross a ditch to reach the truck and could not initially tell if anyone was inside. A vehicle with a similar description had eluded a traffic stop near Patterson Road and 26 Road prior to the crash.
Law enforcement is searching the area for the driver. EMS crews are on standby to check for injuries.
