A barn / garage fire threatening a nearby house was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the 3500 block Front Street. Fire crews from Palisade and additional engines (Engine 22, Engine 8 and Engine 41) were en route, and law enforcement was also responding to the scene.
Dispatch indicated the barn was about 20 to 30 feet from the main residence. Homeowners were safely evacuated. Crews arriving on scene report a fully involved garage structure that is possibly collapsing. Crews will be fighting the fire defensively.
