
GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A 57-year-old man wanted in connection with multiple domestic disturbance and child abuse investigations was arrested Saturday morning.
On March 14, 2026, at approximately 10:15 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department located the suspect, Edwin Broomfield, 57, in the 2700 block of B 1/2 Road. Authorities had been actively searching for Broomfield regarding two separate cases.
According to the police department, Broomfield was initially uncooperative when officers attempted to take him into custody, but they were ultimately able to apprehend him safely and without further incident.

Broomfield was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where he was booked on multiple outstanding warrants and new charges. His charges include:
- Aggravated Assault
- 2nd Degree Assault – Strangulation
- Cruelty Toward a Child
- Child Abuse – Knowingly/Reckless – No Injury
- Domestic Violence
- Obstructing a Police Officer
- Resisting Arrest
