A pickup truck fire was reported about 10:45 a.m. on Yellowstone Road near Broadway. Radio traffic indicated a 3/4-ton pickup was burning next to a carport attached to the home, roughly four feet from the structure. Callers reported loud popping and small explosions and residents were evacuated. Engine 5 reported the vehicle was partially extinguished and crews were stretching a hose line for fire control. Crews quickly brought the fire under control and fully extinguished it.
No injuries were reported in the scanner traffic.
