
GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A 26-year-old man faces numerous felony drug and weapons charges after police found him unconscious in a vehicle that had crashed into a parked car early Thursday morning.
At approximately 5:20 a.m. on March 26, 2026, Grand Junction Police officers responded to a reported crash in the 2100 block of N 1st Street. Dispatchers had received a call stating that a man was asleep in a residential driveway and had collided with the homeowner’s vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers found the driver, identified as Tucker Newbould, 26, unconscious behind the wheel. During the subsequent investigation, law enforcement searched the vehicle and seized more than 17 grams of suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol. Officers also recovered three firearms that Newbould was legally prohibited from possessing.

Newbould was arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility. He was booked on a lengthy list of charges, including:
- Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (>4g, Schedule I/II)
- Distribution/Manufacture/Possession with Intent to Distribute (>1/2 oz to 1/2 lb, Schedule I/II)
- Special Circumstance Pattern of Manufacture/Sale/Distribute
- Prohibited Use of a Weapon
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI)
- Careless Driving
- Driving Under Restraint
- No Motor Vehicle Insurance
- Violation of a Protection Order
