
GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A 23-year-old Clifton man was arrested Thursday afternoon following a physical road rage incident that resulted in multiple charges, including assault and child abuse.
Just before 3:00 p.m. on April 2, 2026, a suspect and victims were involved in a physical altercation at the intersection of 30 Road and the I-70 Business Loop.
Following the confrontation, the victims were able to provide Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies with a description of distinguishing and identifying markings on the suspect’s vehicle. This information allowed law enforcement to quickly locate the vehicle and the suspect in the area of 1800 East Main Street.

The suspect, identified as Joseph Vogan, 23, was arrested without incident and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility. He was booked on the following charges:
- Third-Degree Assault (2 counts)
- Child Abuse – Non-Serious Bodily Injury
- Reckless Endangerment
- Criminal Mischief ($300 – $1,000)
- Disorderly Conduct – Fighting in Public (2 counts)
