
Fire crews responded shortly after 8:40 a.m. to the Ramada Inn on Horizon Drive for reports of smoke from a second-story room and a general fire alarm. Responders made access to the second-floor room and found a small pile of clothes on fire that was extinguished. Crews checked for fire extension, held additional apparatus, and advised incoming units to reduce to a routine response. No injuries were reported in the scanner traffic.
Initial call was for a general fire alarm. Crews arriving on scene discovered smoke coming from room 204 on the second floor. A fire investigator has also been dispatched.
