Fire crews and law enforcement responded shortly before 10:00 a.m. to a vehicle fire in the middle of the intersection at Orchard Avenue and 28 Road. Scanner traffic indicated a tan Sprinter-style van or small RV/trailer was on fire; a female occupant was outside with a dog and responders advised everyone was out of the vehicle.
Radio traffic reported active fire in the engine compartment and noted there is propane in the rear of the RV. The vehicle was blocking the turn lane and some southbound lanes; Battalion 1 and fire units requested to be attached to the incident for extinguishment and investigation. No injuries were reported in the live transmissions.
