A commercial structure fire response was dispatched shortly after 9:03 p.m. to Villa 718 at 718 Horizon Drive. Fire and EMS units responded to reports of smoke inside the building and a fire alarm sounding.
Occupants reported smoke and a strange odor possibly coming from a laundry room and were working to evacuate; the alarm company reported Building A, first floor, South Hall smoke alarm. Truck 6 staged in the Denny’s parking lot due to access issues. Crews on scene are investigating. No injuries were reported.
Fire crews have not located any smoke or flames. A couple trucks will remain on scene and the rest of the units are returning to stations. Firefighters remaining on scene are continuing their investigation.
