Fire and EMS units responded to a single-vehicle crash near F 1/2 Road and 25 Road. Law enforcement was also reported en route and crews were advised of access issues at the road construction site.
Radio traffic indicated a 71-year-old female was trapped in a green Jeep Wrangler that had fallen into a trench in the roadway where construction is taking place. She was reported conscious and breathing while crews worked on extrication; responders expressed concern the vehicle was unstable and may be sinking and said the car appeared to be held up by a single piece of metal.
The driver was safely extracted by emergency crews and is being treated for injuries.
