GRAND JUNCTION, CO — Two adults have been displaced after a minor structure fire inside a Grand Junction trailer home on Monday morning, according to the Grand Junction Fire Department.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., crews responded to a reported structure fire at a trailer home located at 585 25 ½ Road. Firefighters from Station 3 were initially notified of the incident and immediately requested a full structure fire dispatch from the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters encountered light smoke inside the residence. They quickly located the source and extinguished the smoldering fire conditions. Crews then conducted a thorough search of the structure, ensuring the fire had not extended into the walls or to the exterior of the home.
No injuries were reported during the incident. However, the American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the two adults who were displaced due to the fire.
The origin and cause of the fire remain under active investigation. The Grand Junction Police Department also responded to the scene to assist with traffic control and safety.
