Fire crews responded to a brush fire near the 200 block of Montana Road by Connected Lakes. Battalion 1 was assigned as Montana Command and radio traffic listed Brush 4 on scene. Dispatch requested a Type 6 engine and additional county support.
Radio traffic described the blaze as occurring on the bank of a private lake about the size of a football field, between the road and the water. Crews accessed the area through a gate in the 600 block of Dike Road and reported they could draft water from the lake. Drone 1 was deployed and is monitoring the incident.
Update: Crews have extinguished the fire and are working on overhaul.
