Two Arrested Following Reckless Driving and Foot Chase

GRAND JUNCTION, CO — On April 29, 2026, Grand Junction Police Department officers arrested a 44-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man following an eluding incident that ended in a foot pursuit.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., officers located a vehicle in the 2900 block of Patterson Road that was wanted for previously eluding law enforcement on April 25. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver failed to comply and drove recklessly through traffic. Officers chose not to pursue the vehicle due to public safety concerns.

Shortly after, police located the vehicle parked in an alley between North 18th and North 19th Streets. Both occupants fled the vehicle on foot but were quickly taken into custody by officers.

The driver, identified as 44-year-old Jennifer Davis, initially provided a false name to officers. She was transported to a local hospital for evaluation due to the suspected ingestion of a large quantity of drugs prior to her arrest. After being medically cleared, Davis was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked on multiple outstanding warrants, along with the following charges:

  • Vehicular Eluding
  • False Reporting of Identifying Information to Law Enforcement
  • Criminal Impersonation – Gain a Benefit
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence – Destroy
  • Failure to Stop at Sign
  • Driving Under Restraint
  • Reckless Driving

The second occupant, identified as 38-year-old Dustin Friday, was also transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked on multiple outstanding warrants and the following charges:

  • Resisting Arrest
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer
  • Unlawful Possession <4G Controlled Substance Schedule I/II
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
