Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Wellington and Shoshone Street for a possible domestic disturbance with an individual threatening self-harm.
Radio traffic indicated deputies were advised to back away from the residence due to a loaded firearm. Units coordinated perimeter security and approach routes from nearby homes. No injuries or arrests are currently reported and the incident is still ongoing.
Update 3:10 p.m.: Radio traffic indicates law enforcement is clearing off the dispatch and the incident is possibly resolved.
