A large brush fire was reported in a wash near 16 Road and O Road after a caller reported visible flames and heavy black smoke. Brush 31 and Brush 32 were dispatched, along with Water Tender 32, and a Grand Junction brush truck was requested; command staff were also notified.
Crews reported the blaze was burning in dense brush roughly 200 yards from the nearest building. No injuries are reported.
