Possible electrical fire was reported around 8:00 p.m. at the Clarion hotel on Horizon Drive. Multiple fire and EMS units were dispatched after maintenance reported the lobby was filled with smoke.
Crews made entry to the first floor, finding smoke in bathrooms that was possibly coming from a fan. No flames were visible in the large two-story commercial structure. Responders said the smoke was dissipating, crews were searching the second floor and contacting maintenance. Engine 4 and Engine 8 were later released and returned to stations. Crews located the possible source as a seized motor in an HVAC unit.
