Dispatch radio traffic around 9:30 p.m. reported multiple callers saying a female was in the westbound lanes of traffic near a storage unit facility on Highway 50 in Orchard Mesa. One caller party nearly struck her with a vehicle. The 20-year-old female was also reportedly lying in traffic while vehicles circled around her.
Another caller reported the female is possibly having a mental health incident and possibly attempting to self-harm. Deputies responded and safely located the female who was highly intoxicated. An ambulance was dispatched to check for injuries and assist.
