A high-risk traffic stop was initiated about 5:00 p.m. at M Road and 12 1/2 Road after units reported a stolen truck traveling westbound from Highway 139 toward 12 1/2 Road. Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies were involved and Fruita Police assisted.
Radio traffic indicated a southbound vehicle on 12 1/2 Road had a male driver and a possible female passenger. The male driver exited the vehicle, was described as compliant and was detained. A second occupant of the vehicle was also detained. No injuries were reported.
