GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A 56-year-old man was arrested Saturday following a months-long investigation into the reported sexual assault of a juvenile.
On March 13, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Grand Junction Police Department officers received a report of an assault that occurred in the southeast quadrant of the city.
According to authorities, officers learned of a possible sex offense involving a juvenile and an adult male, identified as Stephen Riddle, 56. Following a thorough investigation, detectives developed probable cause and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On May 30, officers contacted Riddle and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked on the following charges:
- Crimes Against At-Risk Juveniles – Sexual Assault on a Child Under 15 Years of Age by a Person in a Position of Trust (Two Counts)
- Aggravated Incest (Two Counts)
