Multiple callers around 7:20 p.m. reported an assault at East Cedar Court in Fruita. Radio traffic indicated law enforcement units and Lower Valley Fire/EMS were dispatched to the scene.
Radio communications stated an approximately 35-year-old male sustained a stab wound to the leg; a tourniquet was applied and he was conscious and breathing. Callers reported one suspect threw a knife at the victim, hitting him in the leg. The suspect called police reporting the victim had thrown a rock at him. The incident possibly started as a domestic dispute between neighbors. Fruita Police are on scene investigating.
