Emergency crews responded to an ATV rollover around 2:00 p.m. at Rim Trail and 19 1/2 Road east of Gateway. Mesa County sheriff’s deputies and fire/EMS units responded with lights and sirens. An ambulance unit was dispatched and Care Flight launched an air ambulance; Gateway Rescue was also paged for additional support.
Radio traffic indicated a female rider has a cut to the head and was initially in and out of consciousness but was reported conscious and alert.
