A structure fire was reported shortly after 6:07 p.m. at the 29 Mile Apartments, 2915 Orchard Avenue (Orchard Ave & 29 Rd).
Radio traffic indicated flames on an exterior corner second-story balcony on the interior side of the complex and that occupants were evacuating. Crews reported quick knockdown of the balcony fire and directed some units to hold while all other units cleared off the dispatch. No injuries were reported in the live scanner traffic.
