Fire and EMS units responded about 10:29 p.m. to reports of a structure fire near North Avenue and North 7th Street. Multiple fire engines, ladder trucks, ambulances, a battalion chief were dispatched to the area.
Arriving crews reported a two-story multifamily home with a working fire in the rear, possibly a shed. Personnel on scene said the rear shed contained propane canisters. Crews initiated an offensive firefighting attack and began neighboring evacuations. Power lines have also caught fire and Xcel energy is also dispatched. No injuries were currently reported.
Update: Crews have the primary fire extinguished and are working on mop-up.
