Fire crews responded around 3:30 p.m. to a reported backyard fire threatening a residential structure in the 400 block of Bing Lane near E Road. Clifton Fire and Grand Junction units were both dispatched.
Caller reported a loud pop and that the rear deck had been on fire and was smoking. Crews reported the fire was out prior to their arrival and was isolated to the porch with no extension into the house; Engine 21 conducted mop-up on scene, making sure all hot spots were property extinguished. No injuries were reported.
