Lower Valley first responders and law enforcement answered a call regarding a possible crash on I-70 near mile marker 16 at approximately 10:15 p.m.
Upon investigation, crews determined that a dresser or suitcase had fallen into the roadway, and the debris was subsequently struck by a passing vehicle. Out of an abundance of caution, responders thoroughly searched both sides of the interstate to ensure no vehicles had crashed off the road. No injuries were reported.
