A two-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 8:15 p.m. at Highway 6 & 50 and South Pine Street in Fruita. Fire and EMS units (Engine 31 and Ambulance 33) were dispatched and en route with lights and sirens, and Fruita police were advised to respond.
Callers and units on scene reported two white pickup trucks blocking the intersection with airbags deployed and significant fluids leaking onto the roadway. A Bureau of Land Management unit was also reported on scene assisting. All occupants were safely out of their vehicles walking around. Scanner traffic did not mention specific injuries.
