Police responded around 10:50 a.m. after reports of a physical fight involving four to five people, possibly homeless, near Dike Road and Broadway. Grand Junction Police units were dispatched, and were responding with lights and sirens.
Radio traffic indicated the altercation began between a man and a woman and expanded into a group fight. One male was described as intoxicated. Callers reported one person may have had a taser and another a metal pipe. One suspect was last seen walking down Dike Road toward the river and another reportedly returned to a nearby gas station. No injuries were reported in the scanner traffic.
Officers were on scene and searching the area for parties involved.
