A single-vehicle rollover was reported about 12:17 a.m. at mile marker 60 on Highway 65. Palisade Rescue, EMS units and Mesa County sheriff’s deputies responded, initially with lights and sirens.
Radio traffic indicated an approximately 50-year-old male was conscious and breathing and was later described by a deputy as intoxicated with minor scratches. The pickup was reported resting on its roof, leaking fuel and blocking both lanes roughly a mile off I-70 on Highway 65. A deputy later advised the crash may be just past mile marker 61.
