Fire crews responded around 6:21 p.m. to a reported structure fire in the 2800 block of C 1/2 Road near 29 Road. Initial reports indicated an attached patio was on fire, with a passerby helping evacuate the home.
Crews arriving at the single-story residence found a smoldering porch. A homeowner and bystander used a garden hose to knock down the fire, but radio traffic indicated the fire may have extended into the crawl space. Crews were conducting a primary search and checking for further extension. No injuries were reported in the scanner traffic.
