CLIFTON, CO — A 20-year-old Clifton man was arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting a domestic violence victim, punching out a window, and subsequently attacking multiple responding deputies.
On Friday, August 7, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of vandalism in progress in the 400 block of Coronado Court in Clifton.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered two males engaged in an altercation. The suspect, identified as Julian Ebertowski, 20, was believed to be intoxicated. As deputies attempted to speak with Ebertowski, he became verbally and physically uncooperative. While being taken into custody, Ebertowski reportedly kicked two deputies and spat on multiple others.
During the investigation, witnesses reported that Ebertowski had punched out a window of a nearby home. Deputies also found him in possession of two debit cards belonging to another individual. Additionally, investigators uncovered evidence of a prior physical altercation resulting in harm to a victim and property, leading to domestic violence charges.
Ebertowski was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked on the following charges:
- Second-Degree Assault on a Police Officer/Firefighter (Felony 4)
- Harassment – Strike, Shove, Kick (Misdemeanor 1 — 5 Counts)
- Criminal Mischief – $1,000 to $2,000 (Misdemeanor 1)
- Criminal Mischief – Under $300 (Petty Offense)
- Criminal Possession of One or More Financial Devices (Misdemeanor 2)
- Violation of a Protection Order (Misdemeanor 2)
- Domestic Violence
