GRAND JUNCTION, CO — The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death after an individual was discovered deceased Wednesday morning in an open area.
On Wednesday, August 19, at approximately 9:50 a.m., deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive person near the intersection of 32 Road and C Road in Grand Junction. Upon arrival, deputies determined the individual was deceased.
Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene, and a formal investigation is currently underway. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the individual’s identity, as well as determining the official cause and manner of death.
