
Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported felony menacing incident around 1:27 p.m. in the 600 block of Allegheny Drive. A reporting party said a male walking a dog pointed a black pistol at an individual after the callers dog got loose.
A shelter-in-place was issued at nearby Thunder Mountain Elementary out of an abundance of caution due to law enforcement activity in the area. No injuries were reported. Law enforcement is in the area investigating, and patrolling surrounding neighborhoods.
