GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A 35-year-old Grand Junction man was arrested on new felony domestic violence and stalking charges Thursday night after deputies responded to a reported civil dispute.
On Thursday, August 27, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a civil issue in the 3000 block of B ½ Road. While investigating the circumstances of the civil call, deputies developed probable cause for domestic violence-related charges against the suspect, identified as Donovan Logan, 35.
Authorities noted that Logan has a significant criminal history. He was previously convicted as a habitual domestic violence offender in 2014 and has subsequent stalking convictions from 2021 and 2023.
Logan was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility. He is currently being held without bond on a parole violation, in addition to the following charges:
- Habitual Domestic Violence Offender – After 3 Previous Convictions (Felony 5)
- Stalking / Threat – Second Offense Within 7 Years (Felony 4)
