
GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A 59-year-old Grand Junction woman was arrested Wednesday morning on an active felony warrant and new drug charges after deputies found her in possession of more than 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
On Wednesday, August 26, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Mesa County Sheriff’s Office deputies initiated a pedestrian contact in the 3100 block of Bunting Avenue. During the encounter, deputies recognized the pedestrian as Dandi Matson, 59, and confirmed she had an active felony warrant for her arrest.
Upon taking Matson into custody, deputies located over 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine in her possession.

Matson was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where she is currently being held on a $2,000 cash-only bond. She was booked on the following charges:
- Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (>4g Schedule I/II) (Felony 4)
- Contempt of Court (Felony Warrant)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Drug Petty Offense)
