
MESA COUNTY, CO — The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office reported three separate arrests on Monday, August 31, following investigations into a stolen vehicle out of Glade Park, a domestic violence incident in Clifton, and a suspect with multiple outstanding warrants.

Clifton Domestic Violence and Vandalism Arrest
On Friday, August 28, deputies investigated a report of domestic violence in Clifton. During the investigation, deputies located a vehicle with damaged tires and a broken rear window near the intersection of E Road and 32 Road. Authorities identified Jeffrey Watson, 43, of Grand Junction, as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Monday, August 31, at approximately 4:45 p.m., deputies located and arrested Watson near 31 1/2 Road and Eaglewood Court in Grand Junction. He was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Criminal Mischief – $1,000 to $2,000 (Misdemeanor 1)
- Harassment – Follows Person in Public Places (Misdemeanor 1)
- Domestic Violence
Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Glade Park
On Friday, August 28, a vehicle was reported stolen from the Glade Park area. On Monday morning, just before 10:30 a.m., deputies located the stolen vehicle on DS Road in Glade Park and conducted a traffic stop.

The sole occupant and driver, Clinton Jensen, 46, of Grand Junction, was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Second-Degree Motor Vehicle Theft (Felony 4)
- Second-Degree Criminal Trespass – Enclosed/Fenced Property (Petty Offense)
Seven Active Warrants Lead to Monday Night Arrest
Around 10:00 p.m. on Monday, deputies contacted Zachary Mellon, 25, who is reported as unhoused, near 30 Road and Teller Court in Grand Junction. Mellon was found to have seven outstanding failure-to-appear warrants stemming from traffic violations and drug charges.

Mellon was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility, where he is being held on cash-only bonds totaling $1,850.
