CLIFTON, CO — A 69-year-old Grand Junction man was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly offering to pay a minor for sexual acts in Clifton.
On Thursday, September 3, at approximately 10:00 a.m., deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of 32 1/4 Road and D Road regarding a report of a man soliciting a minor.
According to investigators, the suspect approached the victim and offered payment in exchange for sexual acts. Even after the victim explicitly identified themselves as a minor, the suspect allegedly continued his solicitations.
The suspect eventually left the scene, allowing the victim to safely report the incident and provide authorities with crucial information that led to his location.
Deputies subsequently located the suspect, identified as Stanley Pavlacky, 69, at his Grand Junction residence. He was taken into custody and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility, where he was booked on the following charge:
