A single-vehicle rollover was reported around 8:20 a.m. in the median of I-70 near the Fruita Maverick. The vehicle was described as a black pickup that went airborne and rolled several times before landing in the median. Radio traffic later placed the crash closer to mile marker 20, near the westbound lanes.
The driver, a 34-year-old male, was reported conscious and breathing but bleeding from the mouth. Lower Valley fire and EMS units responded with lights and sirens. No other injuries were reported in the scanner traffic.
