A vehicle fire was reported about 9:32 p.m. on westbound I-70 near mile marker 23. Fire crews responded to a dark-colored SUV on the right shoulder that was initially reported to have front-end damage and possibly had been involved in a crash with a deer.
The vehicle was later reported fully involved, blocking the westbound lanes, which were completely shut down. Everyone was out of the vehicle, and no injuries were reported. Crews remained on scene to extinguish the fire.
