Grand Junction police responded around 11:22 p.m. Sept. 24 to a reported disturbance involving several intoxicated people near Main Street and Fifth Street. Radio traffic described several males and one female yelling, shoving and pushing each other. No injuries were initially reported.
One male reportedly threatened to kill someone, though it was unclear whether anyone had a weapon. Some people entered a white truck, possibly a Dodge, which later reportedly struck a silver passenger car. The truck was believed to be traveling eastbound on Main Street, with the silver car following. Officers were responding with lights and sirens.
Officers conducted a traffic stop nearby on the vehicle that attempted to leave the area.
