Fire crews responded around 12:22 p.m. Sept. 26 to the Pathway Family Homeless Shelter on 29 Road for a possible electrical fire. A caller reported smelling burning wires for several hours, but no smoke or flames were visible and the building’s fire alarm had not activated.
Crews later found a strong odor near an isolated bathroom heater attached to the roof. Firefighters were working to shut off a breaker and investigate the source. No injuries were reported in the scanner traffic.
