Emergency crews responded shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sept. 27 to a reported hit-and-run vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in the 15000 block of 59 1/2 Road in Collbran. Radio traffic indicated a 30-year-old male was intentionally struck by a silver Hyundai Elantra that left the area.
The man was conscious and breathing but was later reported bleeding from the head, with injuries to his arm, hand and leg. CareFlight was also dispatched. A silver car matching the description was later seen near Highway 330 and Highway 65.
Update: A female suspect, possibly intoxicated, hit the male victim with the vehicle and fled the scene with a 15-month-old child without a car seat.
