A single-vehicle crash was reported at approximately 2:39 a.m. Oct. 10 near Front Street and 33 Road. Clifton Rescue, fire and EMS crews, and a Mesa County sheriff’s deputy responded after an automatic crash notification indicated a possible injury collision.
Radio traffic indicated a female driver struck a tree just north of the railroad tracks. She was reported unconscious and responders began CPR. Law enforcement is on scene investigating.
Update: The driver was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
