Emergency crews responded around 5:01 p.m. behind the Dollar Tree at 2401 North Avenue near Belford Avenue for a reported cardiac arrest. A male was found unresponsive and not breathing, with callers reporting that his lips were turning blue. CPR was started before medical crews arrived.
Radio traffic later indicated the man had regained a pulse and was conscious and breathing. An ambulance continued to the scene with lights and sirens. Police administered one dose of Narcan.
