A white semi-truck crashed near Exit 49 and Highway 65 on I-70, blocking both westbound lanes. The truck struck the median barrier, and State Patrol diverted traffic while fire, EMS and law enforcement responded.
A driver associated with the crash was reported conscious and breathing and experiencing a diabetic issue. An ambulance was requested with lights and sirens. The semi was initially reported to be leaking diesel from a punctured saddle tank, but crews later confirmed it was not actively leaking. Engine 41 from Palisade was on scene serving as command.
No other injuries were reported.
