Two vehicle accident with injury at I-70 Business Loop and 28 Road in the westbound lanes. Reports of a 50 year old male in cardiac arrest, as well as an injured female possibly laying in the roadway. CPR was started on one individual, after which a death was declared on scene. Vehicles involved are a Dodge Ram towing a trailer and a Volkswagen.

First Responders from the Grand Junction Police Department and Grand Junction Fire Department responded to fatal crash in the area of I70B and 28 Road on 12/26/24, at approximately 12:30 p.m. A driver of a vehicle traveling westbound on I70B was fatally injured after striking a truck turning eastbound onto I70B from the frontage road near the 28 Road intersection. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of the deceased after appropriate notifications have been made. This crash is under investigation and there is no further information available at this time.
