Large camper / trailer fire in the area of Rosevale Rd and C 3/4 Rd. Large column of black smoke was visible in the sky. Initial reports suggest a possible domestic disturbance with a male threatening to light the house on fire. Both occupants, a male and female, fled the area.

Grand Junction, CO At 8:58 a.m., the Grand Junction Fire Department (GJFD) was dispatched to a report of a camp trailer fire on the 2500 block of C ยพ Road. Multiple callers reported heavy smoke, visible flames from the trailer, and nearby trees beginning to ignite.

Firefighters arrived on scene and navigated narrow roads to access the fire. Crews worked swiftly to extinguish the flames, including those that had spread to the treetops in the area. Their prompt action prevented further spread of the fire to surrounding vegetation and property. There are no known injuries.

The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
